Greetings all,
On behalf of the HQ NCC Running club, I'm here to recruit cadets into the team. Basically we are a group of cadets and cadet officers who come from different backgrounds but share a common interest - running. Led by LTA Zen and LTC Koh from SAF, this team , which was started in March 2010, has competed in the Army Half Marathon 2010 and clinched the 4th position in the Local Defence Partner Category, beating teams such as ST Kinetics, ST Electronics and the RSAF.

As a number of us from the team will be entering their final year in their Tertiary education or have graduated, we need people to fill in these spaces. Thus, I urge fellow QTSS NCC Cadets who have an interest in running/keeping fit to join this running club. This club, however, is not all about running. Throughout the 7months, we have bonded very closely as a team, creating a strong bond between different districts and units. We also have "bonding sessions" such as barbeques, having dinner together and chatting in the district office for long hours.

Thus, as a senior of this group, I am looking for cadets who have an interest in running, or loves challenges to join the team, regardless of your fitness level and NAPFA result. There are incentives, there's free isotonic drinks available after every training and HQ NCC will sponsor a running kit (singlet and shorts) as well as a pair of running shoes from Saucony for those who are competing in the Army Half Marathon as the 1st team (18 people).

Trainings are usually held on Saturdays 4pm - 7pm (tentative), and Thursday (5pm - 7pm) when it's close to the race date (approx 2 months before the race).
There will be a short introductory training next Saturday, the 30th of October, 4pm at HQ NCC. Interested parties please e-mail me your particulars with the following format. Alternatively, you may SMS me @ 98503406 for any enquiries. Please indicate your name in the SMS.
